Tracey, Carley and Alexandra,
Thank you all for a wonderful weekend! The organization and combination of activities was perfect. The frequency and variety of yoga was ideal…to say nothing about the lovely, relaxing massage…what a treat! And the weekend would not have been complete without all the delicious food which promoted community around the table. Alexandra, you are a great teacher and very talented with food.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

When you meet Tracey.. you just want to keep talking to her…
From the first time I heard her speak in front of hundreds of women cyclists at a bike shop… I knew then I wanted to go to her retreat, get to know her better, and just keep talking to her, listening to her… Truly there is not a more genuine, happy and bright sunshine of a person… She is a special part of the gift of your RAW retreat….!!!
The other “gifts” include all the women that this great idea brings together… the laughter, joys, stories shared on all the moments in between yoga sessions, lunches on picnic tables or wineries, bike riding beautiful roads, challenging moments of going up hill where you band together to help your fellow woman up a steep climb.. to the sections of downhill that make you go “wwwweeeee” )))
I can’t think of something I want to do more. I’ve already done one retreat.. but I’m ready for another.. and now I really also want to share this retreat time with my friends!!!
I honestly can’t believe how much I loved the weekend!! Do this for YOU, and if you bring a friend- wonderful.. but if no one you know is going.. you must still GO and meet other amazing women…!!!
The weekend was such a treat!!!

What an amazing weekend! Tracey and crew were top notch from start to finish. The lodge is beautiful and the food is to die for. The riding is a perfect balance of easy relaxed island riding with some challenging hills thrown in. It wasn’t competitive or crazy amounts of miles but still a nice athletic challenge.
Imagine a day of riding past beautiful country side to pull up at a winery in a rustic barn. A beautiful table is set with farm fresh delights and a private tasting from the wine maker. Then get on your bike to ride a few more beautiful miles to complete your day with relaxing yoga and a hot tub soak. It really doesn’t get any better.
I’d highly recommend the weekend to ladies looking for a chance to unwind and recharge.

R.A.W. retreats are perfect accessible adventure for women in every way. The [summer] retreats take place on Vashon Island where we were housed in a gorgeous, hand-crafted home overlooking the water. The day starts and ends with yoga sessions led beautifully by a local instructor. Guide Tracey Gramenz carefully chooses bike routes that are do-able for novices, and challenging for pros while creating a strong sense of camaraderie amongst the group. Visits to the local farmer’s market and wineries, soaking in the hot tub and locally sourced, lovingly prepared meals make this an easy, refreshing, stress-free get-away.

I had a chance to attend the R.A.W. retreat on Vashon Island last month. It was a super fun and relaxing weekend. The lodge we stayed in was very cozy. We were starting the days with yoga sessions, followed by biking rides around the island and ending them with a relaxing wine tasting or hot tubing. All the activities we were experiencing were energizing and exciting, but the best part of the weekend (at least for me) was the food! Everything was prepared from fresh and organic ingredients. Everything was made from scratch, even bread! We also were offered gluten free and vegetarian dishes. Well done

Thanks to a dear friend, I borrowed a bicycle for a weekend in April & jumped in with both feet to the inaugural ‘Real Active Women’ cycling & yoga retreat on Vashon Island.
It was AWESOME. Most fun I’ve had getting my butt kicked (in a good way). Awesome guide, delicious meals, fantastic scenery, wide lane country roads, real hills (um, hello lungs!), cool women, hot tub, fireplace, water view from my bed, daily yoga.

Tracey was a very knowledgeable guide who we immediately felt comfortable with. She took extra care to make sure we had all our needs satisfied, but more importantly, she took a genuine interest in us as individuals and treated us genuine kindness.
When my daughter and I traveled with her, we had recently been through a tragic loss in our family and Tracey listened to our story with great empathy and has kept in touch with us ever since.
She impressed us with her abilities both in changing a flat tire to cooking up a wonderful gourmet meal. Her upbeat personality made spending time with her a real joy. She is a role model of true fitness and mindful balance in one’s life without being intimidating or aggressive.
We would be honored and excited to travel with her again!

Having done a couple week-long bicycle/multi-sport trips with Tracey, I highly recommend her as a group guide.
Tracey is a skillful leader. She’s organized, attentive, always upbeat, and a lot of fun. And she’s warm, open, friendly and nurturing. All the ingredients in a leader that make for a super vacation.
The remarkable thing about Tracey is that she leads in an invisible way. It seems that she’s part of the group, more than the guide. She hangs out with, not apart from, the group. While she’s having the same fun as the rest of us, she’s also doing the work of leading. She’s on top of things, in an invisible and seemingly effortless way. I marveled at her skill.

Tracey is the best! Seriously!
She was so easy to get to know and her effervescent personality was contagious…she was incredibly attentive and always had an encouraging word for those needing a shot of courage.
If you have the chance to travel with Tracey, take it! If you have the chance to watch Tracey’s skills with a group, take notes. And, if you have the chance to talk to Tracey one-on-one, take mental notes so you can replay the positive interaction in the future. Trust me on this one!

If I were to score Tracey on a scale of 1-10, she would certainly earn my 10! Tracey is knowledgeable, efficient, organized, and safety conscious. She is also enthusiastic, fun, flexible, encouraging and interested in making every adventure the best that it can be for each individual in the group.
